I'm clearly not reading through the best sites since i haven't yet find anybody really upset by Guild Wars 2. ArenaNet isn't flaunting iconoclasm, and my anticipation about amounts of outrage are altered through the current American election year, but GW2 is silently doing a bit of reasons for which everyone has turned in other contexts.

Caithe will be the most prominent, as she is the central Destiny’s Edge story. While everybody else hates one another, she's the main one looking to get it well together. She leads you thru dungeons. If you're sylvari, she's your mentor. Her former lover is really a major villain. Caithe is another lesbian. Most likely the usual suspects haven't observed, or she doesn't count because she’s a plant, or only guy-on-guy really boosts that ire.

If heroic lesbians pass, what about heroic atheists? Charr NPCs will most likely help remind you to definitely “trust in iron, not false gods.” Maybe it will help to not help remind you that charr consider all gods false which they brag about killing their gods. The asura have confidence in a non-theistic abstract principle, the humans are polytheistic, the norn are animists, and also the hints of sylvari spiritualism appear more Confucianist than other things. This can be a setting where monotheists are (knowingly or otherwise) serving deceivers and devils, and Guild Wars 1 gamers may have wiped out and changed a god. In america, atheists poll about in addition to rapists, and you will find cultural wars within the words “happy holidays,” but most likely the charr obtain a pass since they're so cute once they run doggystyle. Lolcat scorns your puny human gods!

Oddly, I expect very little complaints about killing individuals with swords, guns, and fire.
